Welcome to E&L Enterprise, Inc., distributor of Textraw®
Textraw® is synthetic pine straw made from recycled
polypropylene and can be recycled at end of its long and
useful life. Textraw® does not absorb water or chemicals,
saving you money and helping you plants thrive. Textraw® cuts
mulch and maintenance costs by thirty percent, reduces weeds
and insects, is better for your plants and looks great
year-round.
Compared to traditional pine straw, there is no annual volume
loss since Textraw® does not decompose. It is UV-stabilized,
tested and warranted to retain its color for four years.
Textraw® maintains breath-ability; helping to oxygenate soil
and deters both mold and fungus growth.
Temperatures must exceed 570-575 degrees Fahrenheit for
Textraw® to ignite.
Ignition sources, such as discarded cigarettes, generally burn
cooler than this point.

Each bale of Textraw® covers approximately sixty square feet
at a depth of three and a half inches. Textraw® stays in
place very well on steep slopes and leaves can be either blown
off or vacuumed from Textraw® when installed with a coating of
StayPut spray. StayPut is a water-soluble,
environmentally friendly tackifier that will increase the
surface adhesion of Textraw®. The departments of
transportation of Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina
have approved Textraw®
for erosion control.
Textraw® was featured in the October, 2006 Edition of
Southern
Living Magazine.
Textraw® was developed and tested over a 4 year period in
Thomasville, Georgia. It was awarded U.S. Patent #
6,615,536 in 2003.
